Job Description
Key Responsibility Areas & Tasks:
Create marketing material* by using state of the art tools.
Support MarCom Production requests Globally
Make sure that you provide good customer consultation. Introduce the given options (e.g. templates) to customers and try to be creative at what you are doing. Keep the Corporate Design clean, but be open for requirements to discuss them with the Creative Manager and you line manager.
Develop designs and artworks together with the business requestors, while respecting the Corporate Identity and the given templates. Keep VWRs brand guidelines consistent.
Modify, revise and edit projects as required by the client.
Try to achieve efficiency at what you are doing - (speed - quality - expectations)
Share designs with the team to obtain feedback and approval. Important as audit function for internal quality compliance.
Staying within timelines and deadlines for completion dates for projects. This requires good time management and organizational skills
Desired Profile
Skills, knowledge & experience:
Graphic Designer with 3+ years experience in a very diversified work environment and with ability to deliver quality products in tight deadlines
Very strong coordination with the team and ability to understand the brief and take feedback from the requestors/customers
Ability to speak & write fluently in English is mandatory. Additional language skills preferably in German or French would be a plus.
Should be technically competent and have good knowledge of the desired software
Sound knowledge and professional experience in using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator are necessary, along with a good visual arts background, supported by strong design, typography and illustration skills.
Must have the capability of independently visualising concepts and designs
Ability to follow Corporate Identity guidelines
Should be able to think in accordance to develop new tools, which seamlessly link into already existing tools.
Knowledge about printing technologies and the prerequisites (PDF/X settings) to provide documents for the respective print channel (offset, digital)
A degree in Visual arts / Design / Fine arts with specialisation in Graphics
